An evergreen citrus tree producing seedless, aromatic limes. Glossy foliage and fragrant blooms make it a top choice for indoor citrus lovers.

We typically grow Lime in plant form in 5″, 7″, 8″ and 10″ clay pots

Tahiti Lime / Bearss Lime

Mature Size:

Indoors: 6–10 ft tall × 4–6 ft wide

 

 

 

 

Growth Rate:

Moderate to fast grower

Optimum Temperature:

70-85 degrees Fahrenheit 

Characteristics:

Dark green, glossy leaves, fragrant white blossoms, and medium-sized seedless limes

Light:

Indoor: Use a grow light indoors if natural sunlight is limited

Water:

Indoor: Likes consistent moisture but well-draining soil; water when the top 1–2 inches are dry and avoid letting the plant sit in standing water

Outdoor: Keep soil evening moist 

Fertalizer:

Feed with a citrus-specific or high-nitrogen fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer; reduce feeding in cooler months

Common Pests/Issues:

Pests: Aphids, whiteflies, spider mites, scale and mealybugs

 
Diseases: Root rot, leaf spot, or sooty mold

Additional Notes:

In northern climates, bring plants indoors to overwinter. Prune any dead or dying leaves and tissue from the plant before brining indoors. Observe over the next couple of weeks and treat with neem oil if pests are found to be present. Ensure plant gets enough light and is away from direct air flow/heat
