English Ivy
A classic trailing or climbing vine with elegant, lobed leaves. Loved for its versatility in hanging baskets, topiaries, and as a groundcover indoors. Hardy, adaptable, and a fast grower that brings a traditional green accent to interiors

We typically grow English Ivy as green and variegated plants in 4″, 5″, 6″, and 7″ clay pots. We also produce ivy ring topiaries on 8″ and 10″ rings

Indoors: usually 6-8 inches tall

 

Growth Rate:

Moderate to fast grower

Optimum Temperature:

50-70 degrees Fahrenheit 

Characteristics:

English Ivy plants are trailing/climbing vine with lobed leaves. Fast-growing, often used in hanging baskets or topiaries.

Light:

Indoor:  Prefers bright, indirect light. Tolerates medium to low light

Water:

Indoor: Water when the top inch of soil feels slightly dry. Avoid allowing the soil to fully dry out

Outdoor: Keep soil evening moist 

Fertalizer:

Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring–summer with a balanced fertilizer

Common Pests/Issues:

Pests: Spider mites (very common), aphids, scale, mealybugs, whiteflies

 
Diseases: Leaf spot, bacterial blight, root rot in soggy soil

Additional Notes:

In northern climates, bring plants indoors to overwinter. Prune any dead or dying leaves and tissue from the plant before brining indoors. Observe over the next couple of weeks and treat with neem oil if pests are found to be present. Ensure plant gets enough light and is away from direct air flow/heat
